One way to present HRH information is to develop HRH country profile. HRH country profiles would serve as a tool for systematically presenting the HRH situation, policies and management. Country profiles would also facilitate information sharing and cross-country comparison.
The establishment of a National Observatory is recommended to facilitate production, sharing and use of quantitative and qualitative information on HRH in order to support the development and implementation of the HRH policies and plans. One of the main activities of the National Observatory is to update periodically the HRH country profile.
The HRH country profiles are expected to help to monitor trends, generate regional HRH overviews, provide comparable data between countries and identify points for focused action in countries. They will also serve for a comparison of countries' responses to similar HRH challenges.
